Long-term production practice proved that AK, ɑ K value is sensitive to material of tissue defect, sensitive to reflect the quality of raw materials and macroscopic defects and microstructure of small changes, thus impact test is used to test in the production of smelting and one of the effective way of quality of hot working.
Because of the influence of temperature on some degree of ductile brittle material is larger, in order to determine the materials from the plastic state to the brittle state transformation trend, respectively was carried out in a series of different temperature impact test, determine the AK value along with the change of temperature of the test.
The experimental results show that AK decreased with the decreasing of temperature;
At a certain temperature range, the material of AK value fell sharply, show that material from ductile to brittle state transition, this temperature is called the ductile to brittle transition temperature.
According to different steel and use condition, the determination of the ductile to brittle transition temperature with shock absorption function, fragile fracture rate, side expansion value, such as different evaluation methods.
