In a transmission system, the bearing fault types are mainly concentrated in the axle box bearing and gear box bearing, accounted for 48% and 45% of bearing fault, this is because of the bad working condition of these two kinds of bearing installed on more position;
Motor bearing due to the condition of relatively good, accounts for only 7% of the total failure.

Failure of outer ring and inner ring of relatively large, rolling element and cage fault is relatively small, the still unable to clear the causes of this phenomenon.

Different types of bearing failure also has a large proportion of parts is different.
Axle box bearing fault mainly concentrated in the outer ring, the proportion is as high as 63.

The failed parts in gear box bearing basic similar proportion;
Motor bearing fault is mainly the inner ring and outer ring.

Bearing failure reasons mainly include the parts material defect, improper assembly processing, poor lubrication, uneven load, the foreign invasion and abnormal corrosion, etc.
