Furthermore, KOYO bearings sealed in grease are used directly without cleaning.

The installation method of KOYO bearing varies with bearing structure, fit and conditions. Since it is usually axial rotation, the interference fit of inner ring is required.Cylindrical bore bearings, multi - purpose press - in, or heat - in method.In the case of a taper hole, it is fixed directly on a taper shaft or installed with a tight sleeve.

When installing to the KOYO bearing housing, the clearance fit is usually adopted. When there is interference in the outer ring, the pressure machine is usually used to press in, or the cold shrinkage method is used to install after cooling.With dry ice as coolant, moisture from the air will condense on the surface of the KOYO bearing during cold shrinkage installations.So anti-rust measures need to be taken.

Small KOYO bearings are widely press-in.Press the pad against the inner ring and gently press it to the end face of the inner ring and cling to the shaft shoulder.Mounting the outer ring pad on the inner ring will cause indentation or bruising on the racetrack, so it is absolutely prohibited.

Moreover, the operation should be in advance on the matching surface oil.If you have to use a hammer to hammer the installation, do the work with a mat on the inner ring.This practice frequently causes damage to KOYO bearings. Therefore, it is only limited to cases with small interference and cannot be used for bearings with large or medium or large interference.

For non-separable bearings, such as deep groove ball bearings, where both inner and outer rings need interference installation, as shown in FIG. 2, use screw or oil pressure and pad to press the inner and outer rings simultaneously.The outer ring of self-aligning ball bearing is inclined, even if it is not interference fit, it is best to install the pad on the pad.

Separate-type KOYO bearings, such as cylindrical roller bearings, tapered roller bearings, can be mounted on the shaft and the housing with the inner and outer rings, respectively.When the inner ring and the outer ring are combined, the key is firmly closed to prevent the center deviation of the two rings, which may result in the scratch of rolling to the surface.

Method of hot loading

Large KOYO bearings, which require a lot of force to press in, are difficult to operate.Thus, the hot loading method is widely used: KOYO bearings are heated in oil, inflated, and then mounted on shafts.Using this method, the installation will not appear improper force, can shorten the working time.

The heating temperature of the KOYO bearing is determined by bearing size and required interference, as shown in FIG. 3.Matters needing attention in hot loading operation are as follows.

(a) KOYO bearing heating shall not exceed 120?C. 

(b) In order that the KOYO bearing does not contact the bottom of the tank, the bearing should be placed on a metal grid or lifted. 

(c) In order to prevent difficult installation due to the cooling of the inner ring during operation, the KOYO bearing shall be heated 20°C to 30°C above the required temperature. 

(d) After installation, the bearing cools and shrinks in the width direction, so it should be secured with a shaft nut or other appropriate method to prevent clearance between the inner ring and the bearing shoulder.
