High temperature often indicates that NSK bearings have been in abnormal condition.High temperatures are also harmful to bearing lubricants.Sometimes bearing overheating can be attributed to the bearing lubricant.If NSK bearings in the temperature of more than 125℃ long-term continuous transfer to reduce the bearing life.Causes of high temperature NSK bearings include: insufficient or excessive lubrication, lubricants.Contains impurities, excessive load, bearing ring damage, insufficient clearance, and high friction caused by oil seal, etc.

Regular measurements of NSK bearing temperature can be made using thermometers, such as digital thermometers, which measure the bearing temperature accurately and display it in units of ℃ or Fahrenheit.Bearing of importance, which means that when damaged, it will cause the shutdown of the equipment, so this type of bearing should be equipped with a temperature detector.Under normal circumstances, NSK bearings will have a natural temperature rise after just lubrication or re-lubrication and will last for one to two days.

Usually, the working temperature of more than 150° bearings is called high temperature bearings, because the chromium bearing steel in the use of temperature more than 150°, its hardness will drop sharply, dimension instability, so that the bearing can not work normally.Therefore, for NSK bearings with operating temperature from 150° to 350°, if the ring and rolling body are still made of ordinary high-carbon chromium bearing steel, special tempering treatment must be carried out for NSK bearing parts, which should be generally tempered above the operating temperature of 50°.After tempered according to the above requirements, the bearing steel can be used normally under the working temperature.However, due to the decrease in hardness after tempering, the service life of NSK bearings is reduced.
