Bearing mounting and technique

A. Using copper rod and manual center click installation

This is an easy way to install small and medium sized bearings. When the inner ring of the bearing is a tight fit and the outer ring is a loose fit, place the copper rod close to the end face of the bearing inner ring and hit the copper rod directly with the hammer. When the bearing inner ring is larger, the copper rod can be used to strike evenly around the end face of the bearing inner ring. Do not knock only on one side, but also not too hard.

The installation method with sleeve is the same as the installation of bearing with copper rod. It is to directly press the sleeve on the bearing end face (when the bearing is mounted on the shaft, press the inner ring end face; When mounted in the shell hole, press the outer ring end face), the striking force with the hand hammer can be evenly distributed on the installed bearing ring end face, and can be used in cooperation with the press, installation of labor and time saving, reliable quality. The sleeve for installation shall be of soft metal (copper or mild steel). If the bearing is installed on the shaft, the inner diameter of the sleeve should be slightly larger than the journal 1-4mm, and the outer diameter should be slightly smaller than the side diameter of the inner ring of the bearing, or the thickness of the sleeve should be made equal to 2/3-4/5 of the thickness of the inner ring of the bearing, and both ends of the sleeve should be flat and perpendicular to the barrel body. If the bearing is installed in the orifice, the outer diameter of the sleeve should be slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the bearing.

There is also a press pressing method: the mounting pressure shall be directly applied to the end face of the interference fit bearing ring; otherwise, it will cause a crush on the working surface of the bearing and cause the bearing to be damaged quickly.HTB19qFeA1OSBuNjy0Fdq6zDnVXay

4. Heat installation

For bearings with large interference or large size, in order to facilitate installation, the bearings can be heated in the oil tank and installed with copper rod, sleeve and handhammer after using the principle of thermal expansion and cold contraction. When heating, the temperature is generally controlled below 100℃, and 80-90℃ is more suitable. When the temperature is too high, it is easy to cause the bearing ring raceway and rolling body annealing, affect the hardness and wear resistance, lead to the bearing life and premature scrap.

The bearing and the shaft are generally the transition fit, the seat ring and the bearing seat hole are generally the clearance fit. The central shaft ring of the bidirectional bearing shall be fixed on the shaft to prevent rotation relative to the shaft. Bearing installation method, generally, is the majority of the shaft rotation, so the inner ring and the shaft for over-win cooperation, bearing outer ring and the bearing chamber for clearance cooperation.

When installing the bearing, first fix the dial gauge on the end face of the box shell, make the contact head of the meter rotate the bearing on the raceway of the bearing shaft ring, while rotating while observing the dial gauge pointer, if the pointer is biased, it means that the shaft ring and the center line of the shaft are not perpendicular. If the shell hole is deep, you can also use the extension of the dial head test. This is a good way to check the perpendicularity of the shaft coil and axis centerline.

If the bearing is installed backward, not only the bearing is not working normally, but also the mating surfaces will be severely worn. Due to the shaft ring and seat ring and the difference is not very obvious, the assembly should be extra careful, do not appear inside out. When installed correctly, the seat ring should automatically adapt to the rolling body, ensuring that the rolling body is located in the upper and lower ring raceway. In addition, there should be a gap of 0.2-0.5mm between the bearing seat ring and the bearing seat hole to compensate for the errors caused by inaccurate parts processing and installation. When the bearing ring center is offset during operation, this gap can ensure its automatic adjustment to avoid contact friction and make it run normally. Otherwise, the bearing will be severely damaged.
