SKF through investment in France valenciennes SKF Aeroengine new automatic production line, factory support aerospace market and business growth.
Through this investment, SKF is strengthening its flexibility and competitiveness in France.
Gothenburg, Sweden, on January 21, 2019: SKF has set up a fully automated production line, specializing in the production of SAFRAN is the LEAP of engine parts.
The strategic investment is part of the group in the French production modernization.
It also helps to improve performance SKF in rotating equipment professional knowledge, and improve the level of customer service around the bearing.
SKF is investing in new digital production line, to optimize its production capacity, and support major customer to speed up production by the end of 2020.
'This growth is affecting the aerospace market.
Therefore, in order to cope with the changing market situation, SKF is adapt to its production capacity, 'aerospace sales manager Philippe Peroz explains.
Investment including turning and milling machine, as well as installation with robot automated assembly line, which can realize full automatic operation of the production line.
It is the first production line of SKF aeroengine French factory, the factory integrates the engine parts production cycle of the four key stages: turning, milling and grinding, control and traceability.
Valenciennes factory has 550 employees, for the domestic and international market as the market leader in production of engine and transmission bearings.
It is listed as air bearings SKF group centre of excellence.
