Generally, INA bearings are lubricated with thin grease and oil mist. These lubrication methods have their own characteristics, but to meet the working requirements of modern high-speed, high-load work roll bearings, oil-vapor lubrication is considered more suitable.

Lubrication has an important impact on the fatigue life, friction, wear, temperature, vibration, etc. of INA bearings. The most excellent feature of ceramic bearings is that without normal lubrication, the bearings cannot work. Analysis of the causes of bearing damage shows that about 40% of bearing damage is related to poor lubrication. Therefore, good lubrication of INA bearings is an effective measure to reduce bearing friction and wear. In addition, the lubrication of the bearing is also affected by heat dissipation, rust prevention, sealing, and shock mitigation.

After using oil-air lubrication, the actual working life of the work roll bearing has been significantly improved, and the wear and damage of the rolling working surface have been greatly improved compared with grease lubrication. When the bearing reaches 1/3-1/4 of its service life, it must be fully cleaned, and the internal clearance of the INA bearing must be measured. When the internal clearance of the bearing is greater than twice the original clearance, it should be adjusted. After cleaning and When the inspected bearing is reinstalled, the loaded area should be replaced (that is, the outer ring should be rotated 90 degrees before matching with the bearing housing)

Under the condition of high speed and high temperature, oil lubrication can be used when the adjustment scheme of INA bearing combination position and clearance is not suitable for grease lubrication. Through the circulation of lubricating oil, a lot of heat can be taken away. Viscosity is an important characteristic of lubricating oil. The size of viscosity directly affects the fluidity of lubricating oil and the thickness of the oil film formed between friction surfaces. The viscosity of lubricating oil at the working temperature of the bearing is generally 12-15cst. The higher the rotation speed, the lower the viscosity should be selected, and the heavier the load should be, the higher viscosity should be selected. Commonly used lubricating oils include mechanical oil, high-speed mechanical oil, steam turbine oil, compressor oil, transformer oil, cylinder oil, etc.

INA bearings increase the internal clearance of the bearing due to wear during operation. The increase of the clearance of the bearing will cause the reduction of the load bearing area inside the bearing and the increase of the running noise and other unfavorable factors. Therefore, when considering the reuse standard of the bearing clearance, it should first be based on whether the working conditions of the main engine allow the use of bearings with increased clearance.

INA linear bearing KH25PP/KH2540PP installation steps

1. Before installing the bearing on the shaft, the fixing pin of the bearing housing must be pulled out first, and at the same time, the surface of the journal is polished smooth and clean, and oiled on the journal to prevent rust and lubricate (allow the bearing to rotate slightly on the shaft).

2. Apply lubricating oil on the mating surface of the bearing seat and the bearing, and install the INA bearing into the bearing seat. Then put the assembled bearing on the shaft together with the bearing seat. Push it to the desired position for installation.

3. Do not tighten the bolts that fix the bearing seat first, so that the bearing sleeve can rotate in the bearing seat. Also install the bearing and seat at the other end on the same shaft, turn the shaft a few times, and let the INA bearing itself find its position automatically. Then tighten the bearing seat bolts.

4. Install the eccentric sleeve. First put the eccentric sleeve on the eccentric step of the inner sleeve of the bearing, and tighten it by hand along the rotation direction of the shaft. Then insert or withstand the counterbore on the eccentric sleeve with the small iron rod. Hit the small iron rod with a hand hammer in the direction of rotation of the shaft. Make the eccentric sleeve installed firmly, and finally tighten the hexagon socket screws on the eccentric sleeve.
