Impact on the quality of forgings forging process

Forging process generally consists of the following processes, namely, blanking, heating, forming, cooling after forging, pickling and heat treatment after forging. Improper forging process if technology could produce a series of forging defects. Heating process including the furnace temperature, heating temperature, heating rate, holding time and furnace gas composition, etc. If improper heating, such as heating temperature and heating time is too long, will cause defects such as decarburization, overheating, burnt. For the section size and poor heat conductivity and low plasticity of billet, if too fast heating, heat preservation time is too short, often make the uneven distribution of temperature, cause thermal stress, and result in crack of billet. Forging forming process including deformation modes, deformation degree, deformation temperature, strain rate, stress state, the labor mould brother and lubrication conditions, if improper forming technology, may cause uneven rough grain, grain, all kinds of crack, folding. Cold snap, eddy current, as-cast organization residues, etc. Improper cooling after forging process, if the technology may cause cooling crack, flake, carbide network, etc
