The 1207K+H207 self-aligning ball bearing has two rows of balls and a common concave sphered raceway in the outer ring. The bearing is consequently self-aligning and insensitive to angular misalignments of the shaft relative to the housing. It is particularly suitable for applications where considerable shaft deflections or misalignment are to be expected. Additionally, the self-aligning ball bearing has the lowest friction of all rolling bearings, which enables it to run cooler even at high speeds.

Design features

Self-aligning spherical double row ball bearing 1208K with a rotating (floating) inner ring provides compensation for alignment errors (self-centering). Thanks to two rows of balls, it can take high radial loads, work with significant misalignments and shaft deflections. The inner ring has a taper of 1:12 and is equipped with an H208 sleeve for mounting on the shaft (sold already assembled). According to GOST, the assembly number of the product will be 11207, in the international system of symbols there is no number that denotes such a kit, the decoding goes as 1208K + H208.

The material of the separator is steel (high mechanical strength and low price), this is not reflected in the number in any way or it can be indicated as KM or K. But there are also options with polyamide separators (TV, TN, E, ETN9) (usually imported) .

The mounting hole is tapered; the bearing will not fit on the shaft without an adapter sleeve. Number 1208 without the letter K means a bearing with a cylindrical fit, it is installed on a shaft with a large diameter, since the sleeve is not completed

The adapter sleeve allows the operation of the product in conditions of strong shock loads and strong vibration, and also allows changes in the direction of rotation.

Mounting kit H208 consists of a conical metal sleeve, washer and locknut (can be purchased separately if required).
